Words and Type
Words and Type is a blog dedicated to the whimsical, wonderful, and ever-changing English language. Every day we are inundated with words which have the power to both harm and heal, to define who we believe we are and who we wish to be, to inspire action and change. We stick words on our laptops and bumpers, we clothe ourselves in words, we etch them onto our skin. Never before in history has there been a time when private individuals have had unlimited access to disseminate information and opinions. But this privilege is not without consequences. This blog aims to consider the origins, evolution, and subjectivity of words and how they affect us. Each entry is a meditation on a single word, symbol, or element of the visual representation of words.
